Alfredo sauce has to one of my favourite sauces to put on pasta. This recipe swaps out the high fat heavy cream for high protein cottage cheese.
Over the last few months I have been on a cottage cheese kick. I am still not one of those people who can eat it right from the container, but putting it in the blender and smoothing it out has been a game changer. This recipe is has all the flavour of traditional Alfredo sauce but with way less calories and so much protein!
High Protein Alfredo Sauce
Ingredients
Include everything your reader needs to make this recipe perfectly, with measurements, optional additions, or alternatives. For example:
1 Container of Cottage Cheese
1 Cup Grated Parmesan Cheese
3/4 Cup 5% Cream
2 TBSP Chopped Garlic
2 TBSP Italian Seasoning
Salt and Pepper to taste
Directions
Empty container of cottage cheese into a blender and blend with cream
Add in grated Parmesan Cheese, chopped garlic and Italian Seasoning
Blend well until smooth
Season to taste with salt and pepper
Add blended mixture into a pot and heat on low stirring constantly
Pour over your favourite cooked pasta and enjoy!
