Camping Season 2024🏕️

I am gearing up to kick of the 2024 camping season and I CAN'T WAIT! If you have been following along for last year, you know that camping is a huge part of this blog. This season, just like most others, I am kicking off the season May 2-4 along with so many other Canadians.

This May long weekend, I am headed the furtherst north I have ever travelled. I am off to Killarney Provincial Park. This park is aproximitally 4 hrs from Toronto. I have never been up there before so be sure to check back for the full park review. This post is going to be about prepping for this trip.

At the start of every season I like to go through all of the gear and do an inventory. I check everything to see what needs to be replaced or fixed before we get out there. I like to buy a new table cloth at the beginning of every season as well as check the supply of bug spay and fuel for the stove.

I also like to set up the tent before we head out to make sure there are no rips or tears and I like to give it a fresh coat of waterproofing spray. Going through everything is a huge task. Making sure all the powerpacks are charged and the icepacks are frozen. But it is crutial to have a flawless trip. There is nothing worse than getting to the site and realizing that either you forgot something or that nothing is charged. Having a solar powerbank really helps me keeping my phone and camera charged while I am out in th woods with no place to plug in.

Writing out a meal plan is also key for me. I like to write down everything I am going to eat for breakfast, lunch and dinner for everyday that I am away. This takes the guess work out of it when you are away. If you are prepared then everything is smooth sailing.

I have put together a camping checklist for you guys, so you too can have a flawless camping trip! I have included all of the essentails that I take with me for every trip. If there is something you think I have missed, please leave me a comment and I will include it! You can download the pdf and print your copy so you don't forget anything on your next camping adventure!

Make sure to check back next week for a full review on Killarney Provincial Park. I can't wait to tell you all about it!

Happy Camping🏕️

Love,

Liz
