Campfire Nacho Dip is 4 simple ingredients and you have a crowd pleaser dip that is not only packed with protein, but easy to make at the campsite or at home!
I am a sucker for a good dip. Sitting around the campfire listening to music and snacking is a great way to spend a summer night. This dip is only 4 ingredients and you can make it a head of time and just pop it on the fire and wait for the cheese to melt.
It is completely up to you what you choose to dip in it. Some salty tortilla chips, or even some chopped up veggies, this dip is a staple in my camping adventures.
Ingredients:
1 lb cooked Ground Beef (Ground Turkey or Ground Chicken can be substituted)
1 8oz package Light Cream Cheese
2 Cups Store bought Salsa
2 Cups Shredded Cheese
Step 1: Let’s Get Started
Start by browning your ground beef. Cook it all the way through until there is no pink left. Drain out the excess fat and keep on the side.
Step 2: Make the Layers
Using a foil container, start layering the ingredients. I start with cream cheese on the bottom, then beef, then salsa and top with shredded cheese. You can make it this far and then wrap it in foil and store it in the cooler until you're ready to cook it.
Step 3: Onto the Fire
Once you're ready to eat, unwrap the foil container and pop onto the campfire. Using a spoon, stir occasionally to make sure all the cheese is melted. If you want to get spicy, top with some sliced jalapeño once its heated all the way through!
Happy Camping!
