Camping season is just around the corner so it's time to start thinking about some lip smacking recipes to cook over the campfire. Camping isn’t just about roughing it in the wild; it’s an opportunity to unleash your inner culinary adventurer! Who says you have to settle for canned beans and hot dogs when you can whip up gourmet meals right by the campfire? Get ready to elevate your camping cuisine with these five delectable recipes that are not only easy to make, but you can make them ahead of time and freeze them so it's less hassle at the campsite. These recipes are packed with the nutrients you need for outdoor adventures. Plus, I’ll throw in the macronutrient breakdown so you can keep track of your fuel intake while you're on the go.


Campfire Breakfast Burritos

Ingredients:

  • 4 large tortillas

  • 8 eggs

  • 1 bell pepper, diced

  • 1 onion, diced

  • 4 pieces of bacon

  • 1 cup shredded cheese

  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions:

  1. Crack eggs into a bowl, whisk, and season with salt and pepper.

  2. Heat a skillet over the campfire and sauté bacon until half cooked

  3. Drain the most of the grease and add bell pepper and onion and cook until soft.

  4. Pour in the beaten eggs and scramble until cooked through.

  5. Divide the egg mixture among tortillas, sprinkle with cheese, and roll into burritos.

  6. Wrap each burrito in foil and refrigerate or freeze.

  7. When ready to eat, reheat the burritos over the campfire for a few minutes.

Campfire Quesadillas


Ingredients:

  • 8 small flour tortillas

  • 2 cups shredded chicken

Instructions:

  1. Assemble the quesadillas by placing chicken, cheese, salsa, and any additional toppings on half of each tortilla.
