12 Days of Holiday Cocktails: Part 1

The holiday season is upon us, bringing with it a whirlwind of festivities and gatherings. While indulging in the joy of the season, there's no reason to abandon your commitment to a healthy lifestyle. Let's dive into a collection of low-calorie holiday cocktail recipes that will add a touch of merriment to your celebrations without derailing your weight loss goals. I have compiled a list of a few of my favourite cocktails with a low-calorie twist. Try them out this holiday season!


For these recipes you are going to need a Cocktail Kit including a cocktail shaker, muddler and a cocktail strainer.


Sparkling Pomegranate Spritz:

Ingredients:

  • 2 oz vodka

  • 1.5 oz pomegranate juice

  • 1 oz fresh lime juice

  • Sparkling water

  • Pomegranate seeds and mint leaves for garnish


Instructions:

  • In a shaker, combine vodka, pomegranate juice, and lime juice with ice.

  • Shake well and strain into a glass filled with ice.

  • Top it off with sparkling water and garnish with pomegranate seeds.


Gingerbread Spice Mule:


Ingredients:

  • 2 oz spiced rum

  • 1 oz fresh lemon juice

  • 1/2 oz ginger syrup

  • Diet ginger beer

  • Cinnamon stick for garnish


Instructions:

  • In a shaker, combine spiced rum, lemon juice, and ginger syrup with ice.

  • Shake well and strain into a copper mug filled with ice.

  • Top it off with diet ginger beer and garnish with a cinnamon stick and sprig of rosemary.


Cranberry Orange Fizz:

Ingredients:

  • 2 oz gin

  • 1 oz diet pink cranberry juice

  • 1 oz fresh orange juice

  • Club soda

  • Orange slice for garnish

Instructions:

  • In a shaker, combine gin, cranberry juice, and orange juice with ice.

  • Shake well and strain into a glass filled with ice.

  • Top it off with club soda and garnish with an orange twist.


White Christmas Mojito:

Ingredients:

  • 1 oz white rum

  • 1 oz coconut rum

  • 1 fresh lime juiced

  • 3 oz coconut milk (canned)

  • 1 oz sugar-free simple syrup

  • 8 fresh mint leaves

  • Soda water

Instructions:

  • Muddle mint leaves in a glass.

  • Add both types of rum, lime juice, coconut milk, and simple syrup.

  • Fill the glass with ice and top it off with soda water.

  • Stir gently and garnish with a mint sprig and pomegranate seeds.
